From your accommodation, the stunning Star Arctic Hotel, gaze down the fell towards the twinkling lights of Saariselkä and gaze up to the heavens from your magnificent north facing viewpoint. From here you can marvel at the magical northern lights when they appear. This fabulous break offers an exciting itinerary and a magical meeting with Santa that will be remembered for years to come.

Day 1
After landing at Ivalo Airport, you will be met by Santa’s helpers who will guide you to your coach for your transfer to your hotel. It is likely that one or more of the elves will put in an appearance giving you a great first photo opportunity but beware, these elves are masters of mischief and mayhem and their antics will keep you laughing throughout your stay!
Your transfer to your accommodation takes approximately 25 minutes and some of Santa’s helpers will join you on the coach to keep you entertained with some festive songs.
Upon arrival at your accommodation, the Star Arctic Hotel, you will be checked in and will collect your thermal suits then for the remainder of the afternoon you can play in the snow or perhaps try some tobogganing.
Your first evening starts with a Wilderness Dinner in a traditional Kota Hut and followed by a reindeer sleigh ride.
Day 2
It's activity day and a whole host of adventures await! You will be collected from your accommodation and transferred to the Aurora Activity Centre where your fun will begin.
Lunch is also included on activity day, to allow you some time to warm up and ‘recharge your batteries’ in anticipation of the afternoon’s adventures. A host of Arctic activities such as ice-fishing, snow-hockey, kick-sledding, tandem skiing, junior snowmobiles and tobogganing are available to try out followed by the magical Search for Santa’s hideaway log cabin home by reindeer sleigh, which will culminate in a private family meeting with Santa and a chance to meet his special Aurora Elf.
Day 3
It’s almost time to head to the airport for your journey home but before you do it’s time for some last minute fun with a snowmobile ride for a scenic tour of the area before returning to your hotel to collect your belongings and say your goodbyes.

The brand new, contemporary, but charming, Star Arctic Hotel is set on the fell above Saariselka, about 1km above the resort at the top of the ski area. This allows the hotel to offer some fantastic views with the design of every room taking advantage of them.
