Itinerary
Day 1:
On arriving at Ivalo Airport you will be directed to your coach for the 25 minute coach transfer to your hotel in Saariselkä.
En-route you will collect your thermal suits and boots, socks, gloves and hats before continuing to your hotel and enjoying a chance to explore your surroundings and enjoy the snow before your evening meal.
Day 2:
It’s activity day and you will be collected from your accommodation and transported by coach to the nearby activity area for your day of adventure.
Take part in a husky sled ride, a reindeer sleigh ride and be entertained by the elves in their igloo wonderland. The sleigh barn is full of exciting themed activities for you to enjoy. A warming 2 course lunch is provided on activity day to allow you to recharge your batteries in readiness for an afternoon of activities. A host of snow activities are provided for you to enjoy. Experience the most awe-inspiring meeting with Santa and watch the children’s faces light up with surprise when the find his home in the woods.
Finally, back at your hotel after your action-packed day, it’s time for the Festive Dinner while you re-live every unforgettable moment of your biggest ever Christmas adventure!
Day 3:
After a buffet breakfast it’s time to make the most of Saariselkä before your flight home this afternoon. This morning also gives you a chance to browse the village’s souvenir shops for some last minute souvenirs or maybe enjoy a final optional excursion.
All too soon it will be time to board the coach for the short ride to the airport to catch your flight home.

Snowmobile Safari »
This is a chance to drive out into the snowy wilderness surrounding the village of Saariselkä. You are met at your hotel and then taken to the Safari centre, where you are provided with a helmet and balaclava. The snowmobiles are just outside and, before you get the chance to start up, there is a full safety brief along with instructions on how to drive. Children travel in a sleigh which is pulled by a separate snowmobile and adults can drive their own snowmobile (if booked with a single driver supplement). The convoy then starts, driving along recognised snowmobile tracks out in to the beautiful, snowy and natural environment of Lapland. - Total duration is 1- 1½ hours - Snowmobile ride time is 45 minutes - Finish with a drink of hot berry juice.
Adult Snowmobile Safari »
This is a more adventurous snowmobile trip for adults only with a chance to enjoy some adrenaline fuelled fun, speeding through the forests and snow-covered fields on what many people call the Arctic’s answer to quad biking. There is a full briefing on procedures and safety before starting. There are usually 2 adults per snowmobile although if a single driver is booked then you can take control and drive alone. At the mid-way point, there is a stop for cookies and hot berry juice, where the Safari leader can make a fire, but most groups wish to continue and choose to have a shorter stop and more time on the snowmobiles. - Total duration is 2 hours - Snowmobile ride time is between 1- 1½ hours
Tobogganing »
My toboggans are available in Saariselkä on free loan from outside of your hotel or cabin. There is also a lovely long purpose-built toboggan-run, as well as public areas used by younger children. - As long as you like! - Whenever you like! - Children and adults FREE!
Rudolph’s Reindeer Run »
This is a relaxing and magical experience for families or even a romantic sleigh ride just for two. You are picked up from your hotel and then taken to the Reindeer Farm. Here you are introduced to the animals and the local farmer explains why they are so unique whilst you enjoy a drink of hot berry juice. Then you snuggle under blankets as reindeer pull your sleigh through the unspoilt beauty of the Lapland forest, with only the gliding of the sleigh and the occasional sounds of the reindeer disturbing the peace and quiet. - Total duration is 1- 1½ hours - Sleigh ride is 30 minutes
Northern Lights Adventure »
This is an early evening snowmobile expedition in search of the mystical Northern Lights. It is a short transfer (or walk) from your hotel to the meeting place where you receive a balaclava and helmet. The snowmobiles are then all ready and waiting for you. Full instructions and a safety brief are given before starting off. Children travel in a sleigh which is pulled by a separate snowmobile and adults share a snowmobile unless a single driver supplement has been paid. You drive the snowmobiles off together in convoy, looking out for any colour and movement in the sky. There is a break for hot berry juice and cookies by an open fire and your leader will talk more about the phenomenon of the Aurora Borealis and the myths behind it before returning to Saariselkä. - Total duration is 2 hours - Includes driving the snowmobile for 1 hour - 30 minute midway stop for hot berry juice, cookies and a story.
Husky Heaven »
If our included husky sled-ride whets your appetite, this additional trip gives you longer to feel the thrill of driving your own team of huskies. You are picked up from your hotel and then driven to the husky farm where full instruction is given on how to drive the sled and command the huskies. The sleds are driven by one adult who controls the brake whilst another adult and child or 2 children sit in the sled. Hot berry juice is provided during the visit and if there are 2 adults who want to drive then there is a change to swap drivers. - Total duration is 2 hours - Husky drive time is 30 minutes

Saariselkä’s ski-slopes are ideal for beginners, or for intermediates wanting a quick ‘blast’! (Only available on my Santa Spectacular 4-day breaks.) - A two hour session - Includes equipment hire and lift-pass
Snow-shoeing »
This is a lovely way to explore the tranquillity of Lapland’s pristine winter wonderland and perfect for families who love to be active and outdoors. Meet your activity leader at your hotel and then you are taken and fitted with the snowshoes which go over your boots. The snowshoes have a wide surface and small spikes to make walking on the snow easy and even on soft snow away from the paths. The excursion is guided and full instructions are given so you can explore the local area. - Total duration is 1 hour - Snowshoeing 30 minutes
Cross-country skiing »
Experience the beauty of Saariselkä’s surrounding landscape, skiing along well prepared tracks through the pure snowy whiteness of Lapland. Meet your leader at the hotel and then you are fitted with skis and poles before the explanation on how to cross-country ski. Learn the techniques on how to go up slopes as well as down them and how to glide along effortlessly along with your guide. - Total duration is 1 hour - Cross-country skiing 30 minutes

Saariselka is a stunning village that sits 250 km North of the Arctic Circle Centre. It is an unspoilt resort which offers an authentic and traditional experience of Lapland, it is also a Northen Lights hotspot due to its location.
The Santa's Magic package is an amazing trip to take part in as there are exclusive activities which aren't included in other packages. For example; Ice-Fishing, Crazy Reindeer Golf (who else can say they have played mini golf in the middle of the Arctic Circle?), Reindeer Lasso, visit Santa's Reindeer Barn and an artistic igloo with an ice bar.
On your activity day you can do everything at your leisure and your own pace, there is plenty of time to take part in all of the activities. You have one Reindeer sleigh ride and one Husky sleigh ride which are thrilling experiences and everything else you can take part in as many times as you like.
Of course no trip to Lapland would be complete without a visit to Santa and this visit will be one you never forget about. With the Elves delivering letters to Santa he wiill be sure to have yours when you go and visit him.
The spirit of Christmas is high on this trip with lots of Resort staff on hand to play Christmas games and sing Christmas songs with everyone.

Discounted Child Place Conditions Discounted child places are available on selected itineraries for specified travel dates, party size and accommodation. The applicable discount will be advised at the time of booking and shown on your confirmation invoice. Discounted child places will normally apply to the youngest child only, however, on some trips, all children travelling will receive a discount. Discounted child places cannot be combined with other offers; other conditions may apply.
Child Pricing: The qualifying age for child prices and discounted child places varies by tour operator, and is based on the child’s age on the date of the return flight. Infant Pricing: a reduced charge will apply for infants aged under 2 years; this varies by tour operator
