Day 1
On arrival at Kittilä Airport your trip representative will be there to greet you and direct you to your coach for the transfer to Ylläs. Once you have settled into your accommodation you can explore the local surroundings and try out the magnificent snow. A short welcome meeting will take place to discuss the itinerary, ask any questions you might have and to help you plan your activities for the next few days.
Day 2
Today you will visit Santa’s Elves Hideaway where you will enjoy a private family meeting with Santa and will take part in some festive fun and games. Here you can help the elves make gingerbread or even cook sausages on an open fire. You may want to try your hand at making a Christmas decoration at Elf School. Comet the reindeer is a regular visitor to the hideaway so you might just find him outside waiting to say hello. There will also be a supply of toboggans for some snow fun!
Day 3
Make the most of your stay in Ylläs by arranging exciting optional excursions such as the combined husky and reindeer farm visit or an exhilarating family-friendly snowmobile safari? Alternatively, enjoy a leisurely wander around the local shops collecting souvenirs or relax and enjoy a sauna at your accommodation.
Day 4
Day four is another free day to do what you want to do followed by a Festive Feast, party games and a disco, the perfect way to spend your final evening in Lapland.
Day 5
As your time in Lapland draws to a close you will have some time after breakfast to have a last minute stroll around Ylläs or have one last play in the snow before it’s time to say goodbye to your new friends and board your coach to the airport for your flight home.

Combined Husky & Reindeer Safari
An animal lover’s dream and a great value excursion that makes the most of your valuable holiday time. Meet Rudolph and his friends deep in their silent forest hideaway. Learn about their way of life from colourful local Sámi herders and enjoy a romantic reindeer sleigh ride for 1½km across the snowy landscape. Delicious hot fruit juice and cake will be served. Next it’s time to visit the huskies in their nearby cosy wilderness home. Learn about their way of life while huddled around a campfire inside a traditional Lappish Kota hut. Cuddle the husky puppies and enjoy a 2km dog-sled ride through the sparkling winter landscape.

Snowmobile Safari
Experience an exhilarating 25km ride through beautiful scenery, snow-laden forests and frozen lakes. Snowmobiles are fun and easy to ride on your own or sharing with a passenger. Children either share with an adult or are towed in a sled behind the guide. Not covered in Ylläs (covered sleds are provided in Levi).

Ski Taster Package

An opportunity for guests who have never skied before to try the wonderful world of skiing. Conditions are ideal for learning to ski with empty slopes and friendly
English speaking instructors. But beware, you may enjoy yourself so much that you will want to return to experience one of our 7 night holidays.

Ski Taster Package is for guests 6yrs or older. Child excursion age is 4-12yrs incl. Children under 4yrs old are FREE but not allowed on snowmobile safari and will be required to pay locally for transportation to reindeer & husky safari. On snowmobile excursions Inghams (and most other travel policies) will provide cover for personal and medical expenses but not for damage to the snowmobile etc. If the snowmobile is damaged then a compulsory insurance excess of approx. €850 in Levi and €550 in Ylläs will be payable direct to the excursion provider.
