Day 1
Upon landing at Enontekio Airport you will be directed to your coach for the approximately 1 hour transfer to Karesuando. Sit back and enjoy the stunning scenery as you pass some of the most breath-taking views. You will collect your thermal suits and boots on the way to your accommodation and, after checking in, you will be invited to a welcome meeting where your rep will tell you all you need to know to be able to make the most of your time in Lapland.
After your evening meal why not investigate your surroundings? Remember to look up to the skies! Even if the northern lights don’t appear, the sky in Karesuando is at its darkest in December which on a clear night allows us to view the millions of stars we don’t see from our street lit UK towns and cities.

Day 2
Following a good night’s sleep and a hot breakfast your first adventure will take place this morning. An exhilarating husky safari will see you race through the countryside in a sled pulled by several excited huskies. This excursion will be followed by a hot lunch and the opportunity to enjoy the deep powdery snow and a good-natured snowball fight with the rest of your family, build a snowman or make snow angels – the choice is yours. You may instead have opted to book an optional excursion which may be scheduled for the afternoon or evening of day 2.

Day 3
It’s the day you have been waiting for, search for Santa day, and this action-packed day begins after breakfast with a snowmobile adventure. Learn how to operate these powerful vehicles before heading out into the countryside for a thrilling ride through the deep snow.

Lunch will be taken at the hotel before the highlight of your day! It’s time for you to board a reindeer sleigh and set off for a scenic ride though the snowy countryside in search of Santa. The reindeer know the way to his home, they have taken this route before so all you need to do is sit back, relax and let the children’s excitement feed your festive spirit! Once you have located his cabin you will be invited in for a private meeting with Santa. The children will enjoy having time to chat with Santa before receiving a small gift to bring home with them as a memento of their special meeting before boarding the sled once more and heading back to your accommodation for your evening meal.

Day 4

Today is a free day to allow you to do exactly what you want to do, whether it is explore your surroundings more fully, simply enjoy the snow or to try an optional excursion or two.

Day 5

You will check out of your accommodation after breakfast however there will be some time to enjoy a last-minute wander around the area, a final play in the snow or one last optional extra before lunch. It will then be time to board the coach for your transfer to the airport and your journey home to the UK.
