Spend 7 nights at the Muotka Wilderness Lodge set in an idyllic location on the edge of the Urho-Kekkonen National Park. Take part in a selection of extended Arctic activities with this unique region as your backdrop.

Itinerary
Day 1
Your resort representative will meet you at Kittilä Airport and direct you to your coach, ready for your scenic transfer to Muotka. Here you will meet your local guides and collect your thermal clothing and Aurora alert buzzer. If you are arriving into Ivalo airport, a transfer will be waiting for you on arrival.
Day 2
Today, you will take part in a 2-hour cross-country skiing trip (which includes your initial instruction and the guided trek), followed by, a 3-hour guided snowshoe excursion after lunch. You will then have complimentary use of both types of equipment for the remainder of your time in Muotka. In the evening, after your evening meal, you’ll go in search of the Northern Lights by car (driven by guide).
Day 3
Today, you’ll take a scenic snowmobile safari to a Sámi reindeer farm where you can try lassoing a reindeer, learn all about the reindeer herders’ way of life and enjoy a short sleigh ride. This evening you will be free to relax and perhaps enjoy a sauna or a chat beside the roaring fire.
Day 4
A free day at leisure to relax at the lodge or go snowshoeing or cross-country skiing – the lodge adjoins over 300 kms of marked trails. In the evening, after dinner, you’ll head out in search of the Northern Lights, driving your own shared snowmobile.
Day 5
A memorable husky farm visit, including a thrilling 2-hour husky safari awaits you on your fifth day. Take turns to drive the sled on this adrenalin filled adventure! In the evening you will be free to relax – take a short walk or snowshoe for a view of the night sky.
Day 6
A free day of leisure. Practice your cross-country skiing, go out on your snowshoes, or just take time to relax. After dinner, you’ll visit Muotka’s Aurora Camp by a snowmobile-pulled sled to search for the Northern Lights.
Day 7
Enjoy another day of winter activities with an optional excursion (payable locally) or enjoy a warming sauna and take some time out to relax in these wonderful surroundings. Then, for your last night, choose to either stay another night at the lodge or upgrade to spend a memorable night in a semi-glass roof Aurora Cabin.
Day 8
It’s time to say goodbye to this unique location and begin your journey home.
