Levi lies at the foot of the great Levi Fell, approximately 170km above the Arctic Circle. A short transfer time means you won’t have to wait long to enjoy everything this resort has to offer. It is a gem for skiers and snow sports enthusiasts, as it is recognised as the largest and best area in Finland to hit the slopes. Levi sparkles during the winter season as festive excitement builds and the availability of numerous arctic activities really bring the resort to life. Levi was developed around the settlement of Sirkka in the shadow of the mighty Levi Fell. An online search for Sirkka is likely to turn up more information about Levi than about Sirkka itself! Over time and due to the mountain's proximity, the resort became known as Levi or Levi Fell, and it's possible that only the settlement's long-term residents now refer to Sirkka by name.
