Yllas Log Cabins

Discover the magic of Finnish Lapland with a stay in our charming Ylläs Log Cabins – the perfect base for a classic winter escape. Surrounded by snow-covered forests and Arctic silence, these authentic cabins offer a truly immersive experience in the heart of Ylläs.

Accommodation Overview

Each cabin has its own character. Some are built from traditional round pine logs, while others feature a more modern design with flat-planed timber – but all are warm, well-insulated, and thoughtfully designed for Arctic living. Whether terraced, semi-detached, or end-of-terrace, each one includes a private sauna and a cozy fireplace – ideal for relaxing after a day in the snow.
Nestled throughout the village of Äkäslompolo, the cabins range from centrally located to tucked-away in peaceful, secluded spots. With various sizes and layouts, they’re well-suited for couples, families, or larger groups looking to disconnect and reconnect with nature. There’s no Wi-Fi – just quiet, snow-dusted serenity under the northern sky.
Winter in Ylläs offers one of the best opportunities to witness the Northern Lights, and your cabin stay gives you front-row access to this breathtaking natural show. They're also perfectly placed for enjoying optional activities like snowmobiling, reindeer or husky safaris, and snowshoeing adventures.
After a day of exploring, come home to the glow of the fire, the warmth of your sauna, and the unforgettable calm of Lapland.
