Phone cameras pick up the northern lights before our eyes do, so if you're hunting for the Northern Lights, point your phone at the sky where you think they may be. They can initially look like cloud before our eyes adjust, cameras pick up the colours quicker.

Don't stress about the accommodation

Families sometimes spend a lot of time worrying about where they're sleeping, when in reality you'll barely be in your room. Lapland is an outdoor, adventurous experience, embrace that fully and let the landscape be your backdrop.
