All Santas Magic packages include a husky sled ride, reindeer sleigh ride, magical igloo elves show, sleigh barn interactive show, snow and ice activities and a private family meeting with Santa by a snowmobile pulled sleigh.
This 3-night break will allow for an extra day of exploring Saariselkä and the magical Arctic.
Santa's Magic 3 Night Break Child Places: Discounted child places apply to the youngest child (aged 11 or younger) and are limited to one per family (i.e. one discounted place per two full fare paying adults).
They are only available on selected departures on a first come first served basis. The discounted child place applies to the basic holiday price only, not including room or airport supplements, meals, activities etc which will be charged in full. Discounts are limited, subject to availability/change and can be withdrawn by the tour operator at any time.

Itinerary
Day 1:
After arriving at Ivalo Airport you will have a short 25-minute transfer to your accommodation in Saariselkä. En-route you will collect your thermal suits, boots, socks and gloves for all the family.
The afternoon is yours to enjoy some snowy adventures in the Arctic Circle. Go tobogganing, build snowmen and have some snowball fights, before enjoying your evening meal.
Day 2:
This day is a free day to explore Saariselkä and snowy Lapland, build more snowmen and have more thrills of tobogganing.
There are many optional excursions that can be booked also, including ski tasters, snowmobiling, husky-sled rides and reindeer sleigh rides.
Day 3:
It’s Search for Santa day and you will be taken by coach to the nearby Arctic Circle Centre for your day of adventure.
Here you will swoosh through the snow in a husky sled ride, have a local Sami guide lead your reindeer sleigh ride and visit the Magical Igloos for an elf show, then pop in the igloo next door for a drink. Enjoy another show from Santa’s helpers in the Sleigh Barn and try some fun snow and ice activities, including crazy reindeer golf, snow hockey, mini skidoos and kick-sledding.
A warming 2 course lunch is provided to allow you to recharge your batteries for an afternoon of adventures. You can also get warm and cosy in a traditional Kota around the fire with hot berry juice, pancakes and ginger biscuits.
Then for the big moment, Search for Santa by a snowmobile pulled sleigh to have your private family meeting with a magical delivery of your letter to Santa and a small gift for each child.
Finally, back at your hotel after your action-packed day, it’s time for the Festive Dinner while you re-live every unforgettable moment of your biggest ever Christmas adventure!
Day 4:
After a buffet breakfast it’s time to make the most of Saariselkä before your flight home this afternoon. This morning also gives you a chance to browse the village’s souvenir shops or maybe enjoy a final optional excursion.
All too soon it will be time to board the coach for the short ride to the airport to catch your flight home.
Please note: For departures on 23/12 and 24/12 only, your activity day will take place on day 2 and your free day will be day 3.

Snowmobile Safari »
This is a chance to drive out into the snowy wilderness surrounding the village of Saariselkä. You are met at your hotel and then taken to the Safari centre, where you are provided with a helmet and balaclava. The snowmobiles are just outside and, before you get the chance to start up, there is a full safety brief along with instructions on how to drive. Children travel in a sleigh which is pulled by a separate snowmobile and adults can drive their own snowmobile (if booked with a single driver supplement). The convoy then starts, driving along recognised snowmobile tracks out in to the beautiful, snowy and natural environment of Lapland. - Total duration is 1- 1½ hours -
Adult Snowmobile Safari »
This is a more adventurous snowmobile trip for adults only with a chance to enjoy some adrenaline fuelled fun, speeding through the forests and snow-covered fields on what many people call the Arctic’s answer to quad biking. There is a full briefing on procedures and safety before starting. There are usually 2 adults per snowmobile although if a single driver is booked then you can take control and drive alone. At the mid-way point, there is a stop for cookies and hot berry juice, where the Safari leader can make a fire, but most groups wish to continue and choose to have a shorter stop and more time on the snowmobiles. - Total duration is 2 hours - Snowmobile ride time is between 1- 1½ hours
Northern Lights Adventure »
This is an early evening snowmobile expedition in search of the mystical Northern Lights. It is a short transfer (or walk) from your hotel to the meeting place where you receive a balaclava and helmet. The snowmobiles are then all ready and waiting for you. Full instructions and a safety brief are given before starting off. Children travel in a sleigh which is pulled by a separate snowmobile and adults share a snowmobile unless a single driver supplement has been paid. You drive the snowmobiles off together in convoy, looking out for any colour and movement in the sky. There is a break for hot berry juice and cookies by an open fire and your leader will talk more about the phenomenon of the Aurora Borealis and the myths behind it before returning to Saariselkä. - Total duration is 2 hours - Includes driving the snowmobile for 1 hour - 30 minute midway stop for hot berry juice, cookies and a story
Husky Heaven »
If our included husky sled-ride whets your appetite, this additional trip gives you longer to feel the thrill of driving your own team of huskies. You are picked up from your hotel and then driven to the husky farm where full instruction is given on how to drive the sled and command the huskies. The sleds are driven by one adult who controls the brake whilst another adult and child or 2 children sit in the sled. Hot berry juice is provided during the visit and if there are 2 adults who want to drive then there is a change to swap drivers. - Total duration is 2 hours - Husky drive time is 30 minutes.

Snow-shoeing »
This is a lovely way to explore the tranquillity of Lapland’s pristine winter wonderland and perfect for families who love to be active and outdoors. Meet your activity leader at your hotel and then you are taken and fitted with the snowshoes which go over your boots. The snowshoes have a wide surface and small spikes to make walking on the snow easy and eve on soft snow away from the paths. The excursion is guided and full instructions are given so you can explore the local area. - Total duration is 1 hour - Snowshoeing 30 minutes
Cross-country skiing »
Experience the beauty of Saariselkä’s surrounding landscape, skiing along well prepared tracks through the pure snowy whiteness of Lapland. Meet your leader at the hotel and then you are fitted with skis and poles before the explanation on how to cross-country ski. Learn the techniques on how to go up slopes as well as down them and how to glide along effortlessly along with your guide. - Total duration is 1 hour - Cross-country skiing 30 minutes

One of our Lapland experts took some time out to visit Saariselka on the Santa`s Magic trip and this is what they had to report.
"I was very lucky this year to visit Santa in Lapland. I travelled from Edinburgh and the flight took just over 3 hours and the cabin crew were in a very Christmassy mood. They sang Christmas songs and had all the kids on board joining in. When we arrived at the airport our luggage arrived very promptly but with a few surprises.
Our transfer to Saariselka was only 25 minutes, again Christmas songs all the way. We were taken to get our thermal suits and boots, which were all of a good standard and then onto our hotel.
My group stayed in the Holiday club, which was a very central hotel, and of a good standard. The rooms were nice and warm and the Hotel had the added bonus of a swimming pool. That evening we were booked on the snowmobile safari, which was just very magical. It was very cold but the scenery was just out of this world. This trip lasted about 1 ½ hours and half way through we stopped at a readymade campfire where we were able to chat with locals about the area and we had hot drinks and cinnamon biscuits.
The Next day was what the whole trip was for, our search for Santa Day. Our adventure began when we were picked up from our accommodation and taken into the forest to enjoy all our included activities, Husky Sled ride, Reindeer Sleigh Ride, Igloo Wonderland, Artistic Igloo and Search for Santa. You can pick and choose which activity you wish to do first apart from the Husky Sleigh Ride, you will get an allocated time for this but everything else you can do at your leisure. You lunch is also taken at your leisure, and then time to get back out into the cold to explore more. Hot Refreshments are included throughout your day and you can also warm yourself at one of the many campfires.
I would recommend this trip, I had a truly magical experience."
